Robert has over 20 years of experience in contracts, business law, real estate, secured transactions, debtor-creditor law, and bankruptcy. He has worked with clients in a host of settings and jurisdictions, helping them resolve and litigate business disputes, sell and acquire assets, and navigate all chapters of the Bankruptcy Code. His time working with companies and individuals in business disputes and bankruptcy has given him the insight and ability to draft contracts and structure transactions that are effective, transparent, and free from ambiguity. In addition to his general corporate work, Robert’s practice focuses on distressed asset acquisition, dentist and physician employment issues and practice acquisition, and litigation of commercial disputes.
Before joining Conroy Baran, Robert served as the long-term clerk to the Hon. Jerry W. Venters, Bankruptcy Judge for the Western District of Missouri. Robert’s experience as a clerk exposed him to a broad range of business and real estate issues, as well as honed his skills in legal research and writing.
Robert received his J.D. and M.A. from Washington University in St. Louis, and his undergraduate degree from Pomona College. Robert is also a certified hot yoga instructor.
